Silverthorn Symphonic Winds brings together both professionally trained musicians and highly accomplished amateurs of all ages who share a love of wind ensemble music and a desire to achieve performance excellence. We are a registered charitable organization (#82328 9814 RR0001).

Musically, we present an eclectic mix of excellent wind ensemble repertoire with roots founded in the English concert band tradition. Historically, our namesake, Thomas Silverthorn, was a United Empire Loyalist whose grandson, Aaron Silverthorn, fought in the War of 1812.

 

Silverthorn Symphonic Winds is available for private engagements.  Please consider us for your next special event. A talented and versatile group, we can provide programs featuring standard and contemporary wind ensemble repertoire. Silverthorn Symphonic Winds Chamber Ensembles are also available in various groupings of woodwinds and brass for the performance of chamber music repertoire.
